2018 Wedding Gown Trends

There are many fabulous bridal fashion trends coming in 2018, one of the top trends is wedding dresses with black details. My favorite!

Many fashion designers showcased wedding dresses with black accents on the runways. Black never gets out of style and will always be a classic color that flatters the white color of your wedding dress.

Wedding dresses for 2018 will feature black bows, black belts, black beading and even feathers!

Black Accents: Elizabeth Fillmore

Vera Wang caused a bridal blackout a few years back by sending a collection that included several all-black wedding dresses down the runway. This season’s take on black was considerably more subtle—a belt here or a bow there—and most of the black details were removable.

Deep, Deep V-Necks: Jenny Packham

Paging Jennifer Lopez circa 2000: Bridal necklines went well past low-cut this season, dipping straight down—almost to the belly button, in some cases.

Extreme Sleeves: Theia

We credit Kate Middleton with bringing back wedding dresses with sleeves—and they’ve gotten a lot bolder since she and Prince William said “I do.” Statement-making sleeves were everywhere this season.

Off-the-Shoulder Bodices: Alyne by Rivini

All those off-the-shoulder dresses we saw during awards season left a lasting impression on bridal designers: There were shoulder-baring wedding dresses at every turn this season.
